Naíonra Bheanntraí

Playschool

Naíonra Bheanntraí.

‘Séard atá i gceist le Naíonra ná Seirbhís Luathoideachas trí mheán na Gaeilge agus mhódh an tSúgartha, faoi chúram Stiúrthóirí oilte, le haghaidh páistí d’aoisgrúpa éamhscoile. Is é an Gaeilge gnáth teanga an Naíonra agus sealbhaíonn na páistí an Ghaeilge gonádúrtha, mar a sealbhaíonn siad an chéad teanga sa bhaile, trí mhódh an tumoideachas.

Tá Clár leathan solúbtha an Naíonra bunaithe ar na Séasúir, na Féiltí agus an Dúlra. I measc na gníomhaíochtaí a bhíonn ar siúl go laethúil – bíonn ceol, amhránaíocht, scéalaíocht, rince, ealaíon, obair láimhe, súgradh le gaineamh agus uisce. Tacaíonn na gníomhaíochtaí spraoiúil seo le forbairt iomlán an pháiste agus cuireann siad lena scileanna réamhléitheoireachta agus réamhmhaitimice.

Tá Naíonra Bheanntraí lonnaithe i seomra i nGaelscoil Bheanntraí agus baineann siad úsáid as halla agus fearas na scoile. Tá sé oscailte óna 9 go 12 r.n. Dé Luan go dtí an Aoine agus tá cúram iarscoile óna 12 ar aghaidh.

Are you sending your child to Playschool in September ?
Why not consider
sending him / her to Naíonra Bheanntraí?

Naíonra Bheanntraí is an Irish Speaking preschool playgroup. Our activities are carried out through the medium of Irish so the children hear and learn the language, music etc. in a very relaxed setting.

Concerns:
You don’t have any Irish?
Don’t worry. 90% of our parents have very little Irish and quite a few have none at all.

Children learn the language in a natural way through play.

Can I afford to send my child?
Contact the school for more details about costs.

A Naíonra is a group of children of between 3-5 years of age who come together for a few hours each day, under the guidance of a Stiúrthóir or leader, to play and to learn through play in a room in the Gaelscoil. The hall and outside facilities are also used every day.

The Naíonra has two main objectives:

To help the child to develop in every way:

To help the child acquire Irish or to improve his/her knowledge of Irish by using it as the means of communication.

The child will be involved in a wide range of activities and games, using sand and water as well as playing with appropriate toys.

Art and craft activities are emphasised.
Preliminary work is done in the development of the skills involved in reading, writing and mathematics.
Irish is the only language used by the Stiúrthóir in organising and discussing these activities with the children. The Naíonra Session is run by two dedicated members of staff. We usually run around 12 children per day leading to the children getting a lot of individual attention.
